‘Pearl of the Dolomites’

Inspired by my recent trip to the Dolomites, specifically a reference image I took at Lago Di Braies. I was intrigued by how the sand looked like a waterfall fall flowing down to meet the body of water. And how the lighting illuminated areas of the image. I worked intuitively, rather than trying to make it picture perfect, only looking at the refrence imagery occasionally to refresh my memory.
