"Anoplognathus Viriditarsis"

This beetle was another product of my trips to the entomology room at Liverpool Museum. The metallic shell was really what attracted me and i was obsessed with the richness, glossy texture, and the way the light hit it. I wanted to capture all of that intensity in acrylic paint, as well as by using crayons to add more intense flecks of colour.
