I Don't Want Cutlery For Christmas

This was an un-prompted project that came about during my Christmas break. I was interested in the amount of advertisement and propaganda that surrounded the holidays and how this impacts our perception of what we need and want. I thought it was somewhat humorous that we never consider the mundane yet useful things we use on a daily basis, as a present/gift. I delved deeper into extremely mundane objects like cutlery and combined them with wrapping paper which I feel represents the excitement and desire created by concealment and packaging around Christmas.
